How to use Aura

Everything about the platform and the bot, on one page.

1. Connect Discord

  • Press “Enter Aura” and connect your Discord account. There are no manual sign-ups or passwords.
  • If you are not in the Aura server yet, you are added automatically while connecting.
  • Your roles and permissions are read straight from Discord and stay in sync.

2. XP and levels

  • Every message grants 15–25 XP, at most once per minute.
  • Every voice minute grants 10 XP, counted live every 30 seconds.
  • Level curve: required XP = 100 × level^2.2 — progress gets harder as you climb.
  • On each new level the matching level role is granted, the previous one removed, and a celebration card is posted in #level-up.

3. Boost tenure

  • Server boosters get a purple bar showing how many months they have been boosting.
  • Tiers: BOOST FOR 3M → 6M → 9M → 12M. You always keep exactly one boost role.
  • The bar appears on your progress page and inside the /me card in Discord.

4. The OG badge

  • OG is granted manually by staff from the site only — never automatically.
  • Granting or revoking it updates Discord within seconds and is written to the audit trail.

5. Progress and leaderboard

  • Your progress page shows level, rank, messages, voice minutes and boost tenure.
  • The landing page mirrors the live pulse of the server: members, total messages and total voice time.

6. The admin dashboard

  • Only visible to members with Discord staff permissions; site actions map one-to-one to your Discord rights.
  • Manage members, bans, kicks, timeouts, tickets, level roles, boost tiers and OG badges.
  • The Audit tab lists every OG, level and boost operation — who, when and the result — with an alert and retry button whenever a Discord update fails.
